5/10/2008 : Second Saturday and World Fair Trade Day
Every 2nd Sat. stores stay open late and have art openings with free music and refreshments. We are featuring the paintings and sculpture of Sarah Gzesh and music by the Philly band of "quirk-popsters" Shout Magic, http://shoutmagic.com/. It is also WORLD FAIR TRADE DAY and we will be celebrating!!! FT CHOCOLATE SAMPLES and info will be available at various locations around town. The Co-op will be selling FT FLOWERS for Mother's Day and you will have the opportunity to participate in a record attempt for the WORLD'S LARGEST COFFEE BREAK. This will take place at 3 pm at Coffee Club Cafe and 10,000 Villages. Celebrate the bicycle as transportation and help heal the Earth (and yourself). At 8 am, bike on up to the Delaware County Courthouse on the corner of Front and Olive Sts. for free breakfast, giveaways and raffle prizes. Then bike to work or errands. Meet at the store at 9:45am for a 20-26 mile recreational bike ride on beautiful backroads through Ridley Creek State Park to Westtown School.
